These instruments produce sound when air is blown into them, either by blowing air into the instrument which vibrates and produces sounds (such as Flutes, Pan Pipes and Recorders). Other instruments use the air to vibrate a reed within the instrument (such as Saxophone, Clarinet and Bassoons).
BRASS WIND INSTRUMENTS
The baritone horn, or sometimes just called baritone, is a low-pitched brass instrument in the saxhorn family. It uses a wide-rimmed cup mouthpiece like that of its peers, the trombone and euphonium. Like the trombone and the euphonium, the baritone horn can be considered either a transposing or non-transposing instrument.
